Established in 1992, Pesco
Telecom built most of Lebanon’s Satellite Earth Stations for the
Lebanese Ministry of Telecom and Private TV Earth Stations (Telephony
for the Lebanese MPT, Arbaniyeh Standard A, Jouret El Ballout Standard-A
Jouret El Ballout Arabsat 12-Meter, Jouret El Ballout IDR upgrade, Jouret
El Ballout Arabsat 13-Meter C-Band (MPT), Beit-Mery 13-Meter KU-Band (FUTURE).
In 1997, Pesco Telecom obtained a data transmission
license, by virtue of the Lebanese Government decree 9860 and built a
dedicated X.25 network for financial transactions and grew to a nation
wide, multi-protocol, network servicing for the business and Internet
community.
Pesco Telecom is a "Societé Anonyme
Libanaise", It's ownership is divided as follows:
- 52% DESCO holding (Debbane family)
- 39% IK investment holding (Financial group)
- 9% Management team
