Pesco telecom is utilizing a next-generation Expedience System, non-line-of-sight (NLOS) wireless technology, developed by Motorola (formerly NextNet Wireless), to connect customers to the Internet using radio spectrum, thus eliminating the confines of traditional cable or phone wiring. Several installed Base station, within the coverage area, transmit radio signals to a small, wireless modem the size of a paperback book, that easily connects a user’s computer to his ISP, and thus provides him with Internet access.

It is made possible by licensed, high-capacity wireless radio spectrum, called MMDS (Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service).
